Edmonton's signature holiday event

Since 1985, the University Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Trees has brought families and friends together to celebrate the season, create lasting memories and support critically important causes at the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) site.

As always, at the core of Festival is our tireless volunteers who commit countless hours and unmeasurable dedication, year after year, to the University Hospital Foundation’s largest fundraising, and friendraising, event of the year.

The success of Festival of Trees speaks for itself – over $25 million raised, supporting causes as far-ranging and life-saving as Gamma Knife radiosurgery and expanding the cardiovascular intensive care unit at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute to making life better for people living with end-stage kidney disease with the opening of the West Edmonton Kidney Care clinic.

Thank you

to our dedicated volunteers, our generous donors, and our committed corporate partners, who have helped us raise over $25 million for critical priorities at the University of Alberta Hospital. Looking forward, we hope to continually augment innovation and transformative change in patient care and research.

Supporting health transformation with Festival of Trees

Head and Heart is at the centre of everything we do at this year’s Festival of Trees. The brain and the heart are the body’s most vital systems — and when they’re under strain, everything else follows. From Alzheimer’s disease and stroke to heart failure, diabetes and kidney disease, the conditions we’re fighting are complex, interconnected and urgent.

Your support helps the University Hospital Foundation fund the research, treatments and patient care that are changing outcomes for Albertans — and setting a new standard for health care across the country.
